Amory, Mississippi

Amory was hit by the tail end of an EF5 tornado. The smaller offshoots of it had annihilated large parts of the town. I was part of a small “Rapid Assessment” team selected to deploy to Amory. We set up or base in the town’s history museum. From there, we coordinated three teams: two chainsaw teams, and a team running a distribution center out of a furniture factory. These are some of the homeowners, volunteers, and community members that I worked with, and for, during that time.
