I spent 6 months responding to Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 storm that made landfall in South West Florida. The scale of the storm, and the damage, it caused was epic. You could drive in one direction for hours and still see signs of destruction. The team I was part of organized hundreds of volunteers that poured thousands of hours into the area. Ultimately, many of the mobile homes we rehabilitated were condemned. Some people however were able to return to something they could live in.
